Biography
Mr. Rogerio Tutti has an international career as a pianist and has appeared in several concert halls in Portugal, Russia, Chile, Cuba, Brazil and USA. His prolific career has allowed him to be the recipient of numerous prizes including: 3rd prize in the “Claudio Arrau” International Piano Competition, Chile, the Best interpreter of Latino-American music in the “Amadeo Roldan” International Piano Competition in Cuba, 1st prize in MTNA Piano Competition in North Dakota, and 1st prize in “Artlivre” National Piano Competition in Brazil.
His former teachers in Brazil were Mr. João Fernando Paluan, Dr. Rosa Maria Tolón and Mr. Antonio Bezzan. He also studied at the Escuela Nacional de Artes de Havana, in Cuba with Professor Teresita Junco on a full scholarship, an award received from the Cuban government. In 2004, he completed his Master’s Degree in Piano Performance with full scholarship under the direction of Dr. Sergio Gallo, and received a Graduate Diploma in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory under scholarship in the studio of the pianist Gabriel Chodos.
Rogerio also studied music interpretation with maestro Benjamin Zander, conductor of the Boston Philarmonic and chamber music with the Barromeu String Quartet.
In 2007 Rogerio released his DVD “Concerto de Piano,” which been exhibited in more than 40 countries including New Zeland, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Russia, South Korea, China and Brazil. In the same year Rogerio also recorded a Christmas special for the TV Senado in Brazil. He was also invited to start a new TV program in national broadcast for Rede Vida Television.
Rogerio is currently on the piano faculty at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and his active as a soloist has led him to the major concert halls over world.
